Sahara was a great mascot but she's making an even better pet for the loving couple from Arizona tha adopted her from the Best Friends Animal Sanctury in November.

How could anyone leave a face like this at a dump? That's where poor Sahara was found! A passerby saw her, and was able to coax her into his truck. He wasn't able to keep her though, so he asked the local shelter to take her. Thinking she'd be there till she found a home, the man called to check on her a few days later. Sahara had just been sedated so she could be put to sleep forever! The man quickly hopped into his truck, and went back to the shelter to save Sahara for the second time. Not wanting Sahara ever to face such a threat again, her savior contacted Best Friends, and she was able to go there. Phew! Just six years old, she still acts like a kid (or is recapturing her lost youth!). She wants to meet everyone who comes her way, and she runs back and forth in her area hoping you're coming to see her. She also adores playing fetch, and has enough energy to play forever. When she slows down, Sahara sometimes grooms one of her doggie friends. She's such a joyful girl. She'd love to meet you! |
